Finds

Confession:

I have a strong love to buy things. But what I have an even stronger love for is buying things that are unique to your own individual experience.

Take this briefcase and these pair of shoes, for instance, which I bought at a flea market in Brooklyn:

There is something deliciously thrilling about the fact that I have claimed an item. Someone else had this, and did not love it as much as I do, and now it is mine and I will treasure it until it falls apart and goes unwearable. Or, maybe, someone DID love it, but it holds in their mind the memory of a love gone by and they can no longer bear the sight of it. The item has moved to a new chapter in its life, and I will relish in giving it a good one.

Breakfast

I have a mild obsession with breakfast. I must have some sort of breakfast every morning, but it's not just for the health benefits or the metabolism friendly nature that such a meal possesses. Breakfast is a ritual for me. The preparing, the presentation, and the actual eating of the food is all very holy to me. It's for this reason that I photograph my breakfasts from time to time. This an example of what I mean:

O breakfast; meals of meals. How I adore thee.

Bryant Park

Sometimes eating cupcakes and watching fat korean babies ride parisian carousels in Bryant Park makes your soul feel better.

And sometimes it's Tom Jones singing in his hotel room via la blogetheque

Seriously, now...

I've been promising and promising myself I would actually update on this poor little blog, and now I think I will.

So here we are, blog. It's me, Erin. Again.

I'm leaving for New York tomorrow. I feel awful, and my sinuses have been giving me huge amounts of problems, but hopefully I'll be good at ignoring that little hurtle. I have this pathetic beat up suit case I wish I could take with me, but I fear it would fall apart.

Here she is. What a beaut.

But, instead, I'm taking ol' reliable AKA little red suitcase. This is she:

The verdict? I need a new suitcase. Tomorrow I'm leaving on a jet plane. See you in new york city, blogger.

2009 Means Rebirth of Blog

2009 marks a year that I will begin blogging regularly.

And to start off the mayhem (prematurely, I must say, but nonetheless...), I've decided to be ultimately inspired by Godard women of all shapes and sizes. Such sass.

I must say, whenever I see them I sigh a great sigh that I don't resemble them more.

Back From The Dead.

Hello everyone who reads this blog (which is, to my knowledge, no one).

I have not been on this delightful little blog because I no longer have a camera. And because I have no camera, there is no point in my updating about my life. Let's face it, it would just be a lot better/easier/pleasing if I had a camera.
Therefore, I will buy a camera soon. Hopefully.

My blog shall be on hiatus until I have found a camera. Soon. Soon, my friends.
